Unique and beautiful elm and turquoise blue epoxy resin coffee/side table
 
Handmade by myself in my Leicestershire workshop.
 
This piece of Elm has a beautiful mix of colours and grain patterns combined with the turquoise blue resin provides a warm contrast. The waney(live) edge create the ‘river banks’ to the resin river with all the detail and character remaining.
***not sure if it’s trick of the light or just the way the camera picks up the light but the resin in person seems more green shade of turquoise than blue shade. I added some more photos with different light and a video where you can see more**** 
 
The river ‘banks’ were originally one piece before being cut down the middle. The banks were cut to approx sizes before placing in mold where the resin was added. Once hardened the piece was shaped, planed, sanded and finished with a hard wearing wax oil. Finally finished with Metal ‘A’ shaped metal black legs.
 
A true wow piece.
